Observe Dashboard: one screen for where observations stand
Section titled “Observe Dashboard: one screen for where observations stand”Open Dashboards → Observe Dashboard and you can see, in one pass, what has stalled, who has been missed, and whether the observations being done are actually landing with teachers.
Why it helps
Section titled “Why it helps”The information was always there — spread across four reports, each with its own filters to set and keep in sync. Answering “what needs my attention this week?” meant opening several screens and holding the numbers in your head.
This dashboard puts the answer on one screen, and makes every number a way in. See a count you don’t like, click it, and you’re looking at the people behind it.
What you can do
Section titled “What you can do”- Set the date range and schools once. Both apply to every panel — nothing to keep in sync.
- Work the Needs attention list: drafts never submitted, work stuck past 11 days, observations waiting on a teacher, teachers nobody has observed, and observers who recorded nothing.
- See whose court work sits in at a glance — a coloured band marks whether an observation is waiting on an observer, on a teacher, or is a coverage gap.
- Click any number to open its records. The count you click is the number of rows you land on.
- Spot uneven coverage. A healthy coverage percentage can still hide a pattern where a few staff are seen often and others are missed — the visit-frequency breakdown shows which.
- Read volume without holiday noise. Weeks the whole district went quiet are set aside, so a break never reads as a decline.
- Check whether observations are substantive, not just frequent: written feedback, acknowledgment, reflection, and tagging — each shown with the number of observations it was measured from.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”Unresolved work is always shown as of today, whatever date range you pick. A draft left open since March is a problem now, so narrowing the range never hides it.
Some coverage figures read lower than before this release. Staff who belong to more than one organization were being counted twice in the summary totals; they are now counted once. No observation data changed — only the double counting was removed.
